BECAS AUSTRALIA

Las Becas Australianas para el Desarrollo (ADS) son financiadas por la Agencia de
Desarrollo Internacional del Gobierno Australiano, AusAID.
Mediante estas becas de estudio, AusAID busca desarrollar capacidades y habilidades
de liderazgo en becarios para que puedan contribuir al desarrollo de su país de origen
y a la vez crear vínculos humanos a nivel personal como también a nivel institucional
y entre países.
Las becas son otorgadas a nivel de magíster (maestría) y doctorado en un área
enfocada al desarrollo para cursar estudios en Australia.
El programa de estudios debe estar vinculado a uno de los siguientes temas: Agua,
Manejo de Recursos Naturales, Industria Minera, Gobernabilidad y Mundo Rural.
Algunos de los beneficios de la beca son: costos del programa de estudio, costos
de viaje, costos de instalación, programa académico introductorio, costos de
manutención, seguro de salud y mejoramiento del nivel de inglés.
Requisitos Generales
• Ser ciudadano y residir en uno de los siguientes países: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile,
Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México,
Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, Uruguay y Venezuela.
• Cumplir con los requisitos académicos para ser admitido en un programa de
magíster (maestría) o doctorado impartido por la universidad australiana escogida.
• Dominio del idioma inglés: debe ser demostrado a través del examen IELTS 6.0 (o
su equivalente en TOEFL).
• Tener experiencia laboral relevante en uno de los temas prioritarios del programa.
• Demostrar un compromiso genuino con el desarrollo de su país en el área de
estudios seleccionada.
Postulación
Las Becas ADS se otorgan una vez al año por medio de un proceso de selección
competitivo.
Los principales criterios de selección son la relevancia del curso de postgrado
escogido en relación a los temas prioritarios identificados para Latinoamérica y el
beneficio que el becario aportará a su país de origen una vez que regrese a éste.
La próxima ronda de postulación iniciará el 1 de febrero del 2013 y estará abierta hasta
el 30 de abril del 2013 para comenzar estudios en Australia en el año 2014.

Becas para estudios académicos (Grado, Maestrías y Doctorados) OEA

El Programa de Becas Académicas de la OEA (Programa Regular), establecido en 1958, otorga cada año becas para maestrías, doctorados o investigación conducente a un título. El Programa de Becas Especiales para el Caribe Angloparlante (SPECAF), establecido en 1983, otorga becas para los últimos dos años de estudios universitarios a los ciudadanos y residentes de los Estados Miembros del caribe angloparlante. Estos se rigen por el Manual de Procedimientos de Becas OEA. Además de estos programas, la OEA, a través de su Programa de Alianzas para la Educación y la Capacitación (PAEC), ofrece otras oportunidades de becas para estudios académicos con el apoyo de sus instituciones socias en las Américas y alrededor del mundo.

El PAEC es administrado conforme a los respectivos acuerdos de cooperación siguiendo los principios previstos en el Manual de Procedimientos de Becas OEA.

What does it cover? The Value of the scholarship is 10,000 USD per year. Estimated total expenses for the master’s degree programme for 2 years including tuition are 6,041,800 JPY or approximately 75,438 USD. Applicants must show financial resources adequate to meet the full costs of educational and living expenses.The Japan Foundation for UNU (JFUNU) Scholarship is available for outstanding applicants from developing countries who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance, and they will be considered as candidates for the award of the scholarship.

University of Oslo offers Doctoral Research Fellowship in the field of Social Sciences or Humanities in Norway, 2013

Eligibility:

-Applicants must hold a two years Master’s degree or equivalent in the social sciences or humanities.

-The purpose of the Ph.D. Research Fellowship is research training leading to the successful completion of a doctoral degree.

-The successful candidate will be automatically accepted for the research-training programme (Ph.D. programme) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Oslo.

-In addition to their own research work, fellows may be required to participate in teaching and/or administration activities connected to research and teaching at the Centre.

-All work of this nature conducted will be compensated with equivalent extension of the duration of the research fellowship.

-It is not possible to have extensions that exceed twelve months. 

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of Norway can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Centre wishes to recruit a Ph.D. candidate with extensive knowledge of innovation studies, as well as demonstrated research capabilities and strong interest in the development of innovation research both theoretically and empirically. The candidate’s work will be situated with the Centre’s research programme ”Innovation.” This programme is focused on understanding the role of innovations in regional and national economic growth, the factors that determine innovations in resource-based economies, universities’ roles in innovation and societal processes, and the importance of innovations in societal transitions to sustainable technologies.

Duration of award(s): Fellowship is offered for three years.

The CIPRS provides:

§     Course tuition fee for two years for a Master's (by Research) and a maximum of three and a half years for a Doctoral degree; and

Becas del gobierno de Taiwan para cursos de Mandarín

Purpose

To encourage international students (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao SAR students are not eligible) to undertake Huayu courses in the Republic of China (Taiwan); in order to provide them with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding and interactions between Taiwan and the international community.

Award Value

A Monthly stipend of 25,000 NTD.

Duration

a.Huayu Enrichment courses will include a summer term (June and July or July and August), along with short term classes, which may last 3, 6 or 9 months to a year respectively.

b.With the exception of the summer classes, in principle, the duration of the scholarship is from September 1st to August 31st of the following year. If recipients fail to come to Taiwan for enrollment during the designated time, they will forfeit their right to retain their scholarships.

c.Scholarship funding will become effective on the date of the recipient’s enrollment. Scholarship funding will end according to the scholarship’s expiration date or if the scholarship is revoked.

Available Scholarships

The Ministry of Education will consult the annual budget and provide available openings for the next year to embassies, missions, representative offices and other overseas agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before December 31st.

Eligibility

International applicants above the age of 18, who possess a high school diploma or above, have shown excellent academic performance, and are of good moral character are eligible. Candidates with one of the following qualifications may not apply:

a.Is an overseas Chinese student or a national of the R.O.C.

b.Is currently registered as a student at a Mandarin Language Center or has sought a degree from a university or college in Taiwan.

c.Has already received a HES or a Taiwan Scholarship, in the past.

d.Is an exchange student to Taiwan, during the scholarship period.

e.Is currently receiving financial benefits from the Taiwan government or another educational institution.
