Programa Especialización PEU







INSCRIPCIONES ABIERTAS PARA LA IX EDICIÓN DEL PROGRAMA DE ESPECIALIZACIÓN EN PLANIFICACIÓN ESTRATÉGICA URBANA 2013-2014
CIDEU, a través de su Universidad Corporativa, imparte el Programa de Especialización en Planificación Estratégica Urbana (PEU), una acción formativa de 450 horas lectivas, especialmente diseñada para el desarrollo profesional de los técnicos responsables de conceptuar, desarrollar, apoyar y seguir los procesos de planificación estratégica urbana.
Desde el año 2005 y a lo largo de todas sus ediciones, el Programa de Especialización en PEU ha proporcionado información, conocimiento y experiencia a más de 400 profesionales de 66 ciudades y 16 países, vinculados directamente con el desarrollo estratégico de sus ciudades, aplicando la metodología CIDEU a la gestión de los proyectos estratégicos en sus ciudades.
El  Programa de Especialización en PEU se realiza con la metodología de aprendizaje blended-learning (on line y presencial). Inicia con un Seminario Presencial (no obligatorio) en la ciudad de Guadalajara, México, del 22 al 26 de julio de 2013. El aula virtual es la principal herramienta del programa y representa el espacio de  encuentro compartido por alumnos y expertos docentes. Incorpora dos encuentros anuales con motivo de la clausura e inicio de los programas, bajo el formato de seminario técnico de formación. En estos encuentros presenciales la metodología empleada estimula la participación en la construcción colectiva y la gestión del conocimiento, a partir de la experiencia de todos y cada una de las personas participantes en el curso.

MSc in Sustainability, Development and Peace



The programme addresses pressing global issues of sustainability, climate change, development, peacebuilding, and human rights through an innovative interdisciplinary approach that integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The programme is intended for recent graduates, professionals, and practitioners, offering the unique opportunity to study at a global university within the framework of the United Nations. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to make important contributions towards solving global issues, whether through employment by UN agencies, other international organizations, governments, civil society, or the private sector.
The programme is practically oriented, user-focused, and of the highest academic quality. It offers opportunities to gain practical experience through internships or field research with a UN agency or other international organization. The programme builds on the strong record of the United Nations University (UNU) in training and capacity development, and utilizes the extensive network of scholars and academic institutions participating in UNU research.
Students who earn at least 30 credits, successfully complete a master’s thesis, and pass the final examination will receive a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Sustainability, Development, and Peace. The standard period of study is two years; the programme starts in September, with students expected to complete all the requirements by July in the second academic year after enrolment.

Financial Support

The Japan Foundation for UNU (JFUNU) Scholarship is available for outstanding applicants from developing countries who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance, and they will be considered as candidates for the award of the scholarship.
The JFUNU scholarship covers the full tuition fees, and provides a monthly allowance of 150,000 JPY* for living expenses for a maximum of 24 months. Travel costs to and from Japan, visa handling fees, and health/accident insurance costs must be covered by the student.
*150,000 JPY is the average monthly living cost for an international student without dependents in Tokyo, although this amount may vary depending on the lifestyle of the student.

-Applicants are required to have bachelor degrees or its equivalent with a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 5) and a score of at least 50 on the HSKK (intermediate level), and make a written commitment stating that he/she will be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation. Applicants with specific teaching posts arranged will be given admission priority (certification by the institution he/she will teach for is required). Hanban will provide support for outstanding graduates to return to their countries to teach.
Scholarship for Students of One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL:
-The scholarship is provided to Confucius Institute students from Africa and Latin America regions who would like to engage in the Chinese language teaching.
- Applicants shall sign agreements with the Confucius Institute or institutes to which they will be providing teaching services.
-Applicants are required to have bachelor degrees or its equivalent with a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and a score of at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level). Those who pass the first-academic-year assessment and score at least 180 on the HSK (level 5) can continue to study in China for the Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Hanban will provide support for graduates returning to their countries to teach Chinese language by recruiting them as local teachers and providing wage subsidies, etc.
Scholarship for One-Academic Year Students:
-The scholarship is provided to outstanding students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), winners of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, overseas local Chinese language teachers, outstanding graduates of Chinese language across the world, and outstanding performers on the HSK, or those who intend to become Chinese teachers.
-Applicants should achieve a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level), or complete their study at a Confucius Institute for over 120 hours.
Scholarship for One-Semester Students:
-The scholarship is provided to outstanding students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), winners of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, overseas local Chinese language teachers, outstanding graduates of Chinese language across the world, and outstanding performers on the HSK.
-Applicants should achieve a score of at least 120 on the HSK (level 2) and at least 40 on the HSKK (elementary level), or complete their study at a Confucius Institute for over 60 hours.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The international students (non-Chinese citizens) can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: In order to support the development of Confucius Institutes, facilitate Chinese language promotion and Chinese cultural transmission in the world, cultivate qualified Chinese language teachers and talented students of Chinese language, Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban (hereinafter referred to as Hanban) launches the “Confucius Institute Scholarship” program to provide financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide to proceed to a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) in Chinese universities (hereinafter referred to as “host institutes”), or study in such majors as Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy. The category of scholarship of 2013 includes Scholarship for Students of Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL), Scholarship for Students of One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL, Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Students, and Scholarship for One-Semester Students. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens in good health, aged between 16 and 35 (Chinese language teachers in post shall be aged below 45).

Duration of award(s): Scholarship for Students of MTCSOL: The scholarship winner shall begin the study in autumn 2013, and the grant will cover two academic years. Scholarship for One-Academic Year Students:  the grant term is one academic year. Scholarship for One-Semester Students: The time of entrance is autumn 2013 or spring 2014 and the grant term is one semester.


What does it cover? Scholarship winners are exempt from registration fees, tuition, fees for basic learning materials, accommodation fees on campus, and are provided with a one-off resettlement subsidy, monthly allowance, outpatient medical service and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. Monthly allowances are at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month):
a. CNY 1,400 for One-Academic-Year Students and One-Semester Students.
b. CNY 1,700 for Master’s Degree Students.
The one-off resettlement subsidy is CNY 1,500 for students who will study in China for one academic year or more; CNY 1,000 will be provided to all students who studies in China for one semester; the one-off resettlement subsidy will not be provided to those who have studied in China for more than half a year before being enrolled.


Becas para Master in International Agribusiness and Rural Development - Universidad de Göttingen - Alemania

El programa “Master in International Agribusiness and Rural Development- IARD” ofrecido en conjunto por la Universidad de Göttingen en Alemania y la Universidad de Talca en Chile informa que la convocatoria para el año 2014 está abierta. El DAAD ofrece anualmente becas para estudiantes de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
El programa de estudios consiste en módulos que cubren economía agrícola, política de desarrollo agrícola y rural, así como administración de empresas, gestión y comercialización agroalimentaria, economía del desarrollo y sociología rural.
El programa tiene una duración de 19 meses, más dos meses adicionales para un curso de alemán llevado a cabo en Talca, de enero a febrero. Hay tres semestres de enseñanza con un total de quince módulos y el último semestre es dedicado a la investigación de campo y a la escritura de la tesis de grado.
Todos los estudiantes comienzan cada año en Chile y algunos estudiantes entre los becarios del DAAD serán seleccionados para continuar sus estudios en Alemania. Estudiantes con financiamiento propio pueden continuar sus estudios en Alemania, si así lo desean.

Requisitos de Admisión:
• Título profesional de Licenciado o B.Sc. en las áreas de las Ciencias Agrarias, Económicas o afines.
• Dominio del idioma inglés, acreditado por un TOEFL-puntaje mínimo 79 pts. o IELTS con puntaje de 6.0
• Experiencia profesional de mínimo dos años (para aplicar a la beca DAAD).

• Carta de motivación (en inglés, puede ser enviada por correo electrónico)
• Currículum Vitae (en inglés, puede ser enviado por correo electrónico)
• Concentración de notas (resumen calificaciones obtenidas en pre grado español o inglés, original)
• Copia de certificado de Título (o grado académico)
• Mínimo dos cartas de recomendación, una de ellas otorgada por un académico y otra laboral (ambas cartas con sello y logo de la Universidad / Empresa/Institución, idealmente en inglés)
• Certificado de experiencia laboral, emitido por la empresa y/o empleador (idealmente en inglés)
• Propuesta de tesis (posible intención de un tema a tratar, redactada en inglés. Puede ser enviada por correo electrónico)
• Certificado de nivel de inglés (TOEFL con un puntaje mayor a 79 puntos)
• Formulario del programa IARD (Disponible en la página web) y Formulario Postulación Beca DAAD (si procede)

The Business Department at Universidad Carlos III is requesting applications for its Master in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods. The department is offering 15 scholarships to qualified students to take part in this program, either in the Finance track orManagement track.


The objective of the scholarships for this master is to prepare highly qualified and motivated students to carry out original research in the fields of finance and management, with a thorough preparation in empirical methods and statistics. 

This Master also represents the first two years in our five year PhD program. The program is a full-time program with all classes been taught in English. Graduating students find placement in the world of research, both academic and non-academic, in international organizations, central banks, government agencies and firms.

La Beca PNK tiene un perfil innovador único en la región, orientado a la formación y promoción de jóvenes líderes de América del Sur con experiencia tanto en el campo académico como en el servicio público.

Está inspirada en el legado y los logros del ex presidente Néstor Kirchner durante su gestión como primer mandatario de la República Argentina (2003-2007) y como primer Secretario General de la UNASUR (2010).

CONCURSO 2013-2014 PARA EL OTORGAMIENTO DE TRES BECAS

La Beca Presidente Néstor Kirchner está orientada a apoyar la formación de líderes en América del Sur, con desempeño en el campo político/social y académico. Consiste en el intercambio de ideas y experiencias entre el becario/a y académicos, políticos y actores sociales de la ciudad de Nueva York, en base a la presentación del trabajo académico del becario/a.

La Beca comprende una estadía de trabajo de dos semanas, en fechas preestablecidas, a desarrollarse en The New School, en la ciudad de Nueva York. El becario/a presentará sus trabajos ante estudiantes y académicos de The New School, se entrevistará con líderes políticos y sociales, y realizará distintas actividades, como visitas a organismos gubernamentales locales y multinacionales, además de museos, bibliotecas universitarias y públicas, entre otras.
En este llamado se otorgarán tres becas. La Beca 1 se concursa entre ciudadanos argentinos, y el becario/a seleccionado/a cumplirá su estadía de trabajo en Nueva York del 3 al 16 de noviembre de 2013. La Beca 2 se concursa entre ciudadanos de un país sudamericano, excluyendo Argentina, y el/la becario/a seleccionado/a cumplirá su estadía de trabajo en Nueva York del 23 de febrero al 8 de marzo de 2014. La Beca 3 se concursa entre ciudadanos de cualquiera de los países de Sudamérica, incluyendo Argentina, y el/la becario/a seleccionado/a cumplirá su estadía de trabajo en Nueva York del 23 de febrero al 8 de marzo de 2014.
